Jennifer Tobin
Board Member
Jennifer Tobin is a professor emerita of Classical Archaeology at the University of Illinois Chicago. Although her field work is in the Middle East, she has been fascinated with Rapa Nui ever since she saw slides of her grandparents’ trip to the island in 1970. Forty years later she visited Rapa Nui herself and fell in love with the history, archaeology, and warmth of the island’s denizens. Jennifer is chair of the Friends of the EIF committee and is excited to help grow membership in the organization.
